Counting visits to your site

To find out the number of times your site has been visited:

  • Click the 'Update' link on your site to reach the page that requires your owner's password.
  • Enter your password and click the button to validate it.
  • Assuming the password is correct you'll see a report of the visits to your site.
  • If you don't wish to continue with updating your site you can use the 'Cancel' link at the top of the page.

What is counted?

The easisites system only counts visits to the first page of your site. If it added in visits to your other pages you'd get misleading statistics since the act of viewing subsequent pages isn't really another visit to your site.

The count is from the date you first built your easisite (or August 2002 if your site is older than that). If you want to know the number of visits per month, say, make a note at each month-end of the current count and compare the figures.
